What does the Environmental Impact Screening Committee (EISC) do?

Sep 26, 2011

The Environmental Impact Screening Committee (EISC) reviews projects on lands and water in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR). You should contact the EISC well in advance of your research fieldwork start date. The majority of research projects in the natural sciences have to go through the EISC screening process. Applications have to be submitted at least 45 days before the next EISC meeting, and you may have to re-submit your application if the committee finds it incomplete, or has concerns about possible negative impacts on the environment.
